Four new flights from Russia to Lapland

Direct flight routes from Moscow to different winter-holiday destinations in northern Finland. This winter Aeroflot-Nord flies directly from Arkhangelsk to Levi ski resort.

Newsrooms Finland writes about the latest agreement between Russia’s aviation authorities and Finland’s transport and communications ministry. All-in-all six new flight routes can open between the two countries.

Four different airline companies have shown interest in operating the routes, but the carriers are unknown so far.

During the last couple of years, several turist agencies in Moscow have operated charter flights to Kittilä airport near the two ski resorts Levi and Ylläs. Three times this winter, the Arkhangelsk-based Aeroflot-Nord arranged charter flights directly Kittilä from Arkhangelsk.
