Governor wants big companies to pay more tax
Murmansk Governor Dmitry Dmitriyenko intends to hold a number of meetings with the region’s biggest companies in a bid to make them pay more taxes.
According to the governor, Russian companies pay an average of 12-14 percent of their revenues in taxes. However, in Murmansk Oblast, the companies only pay about eight percent of revenues, the website of the regional government reports.
-We believe that this is not fair, the governor underlines. He is confident that he and the industry will be able to find a compromise on the issue.
