Growth for TGK-1
The biggest electricity generator in Northwest Russia, the TGK-1, in the first half of 2010 boosted net profits with 39 percent.
The Territorial Generating Company (TGK-1) in the period had a growth in turnover of 29 percent compared with the same period in 2009, a press release from the company informs.
The company in the period increased its net profits with 39 percent year-on-year to 2.84 billion RUB.
TGK-1 is controlled by Gazprom. Finnish energy company Fortum has a 25 percent stake in the company. TGK-1 has generating facilities in Murmansk Oblast, the Republic of Karelia, Leningrad Oblast and the city of Sankt Petersburg.
