Investments down 42 percent in Murmansk
The level of investments in Murmansk Oblast dropped more than 42 percent in the first half of 2010.
The decline comes after a 47 percent year-on-year boost in investments in the same period 2009, MBnews.ru reports. This year’s figures show that a total of 12 billion RUB was invested in the region’s main capital, 65 percent of it in the development of industrial production, 43 percent in mining, 18 percent in the electricity, water and gas distribution networks and 11 percent in transport and communications. Another six percent was invested in regional healthcare.
