Iran eyes investments in Arkhangelsk

The Islamic Republic of Iran has put forward a proposal to create a joint venture in Arkhangelsk engaging in wood exports to the Iranian market.

Тhe Iranians presented their proposal during a recent official visit to Arkhangelsk Oblast, the press-service of the Arkhangelsk Oblast regional administration informs. The Iranian party also showed interest in the lease of forest lots and the purchase of processed wood products from regional industrial enterprises producing timber, cellulose, paper and cardboard. Mr. Yury Trubin, Vice-Director of the regional department of the forest industry, says. All timber processing enterprises in the region will get business proposals from the Iranian party, he adds.
