New leader of Kolskaya GMK appointed
Mining and metallurgy giant Norilsk Nickel has appointed Sergei Selyandin new General Director of its subsidiary company in Murmansk Oblast, the Kolskaya GMK.
The change of positions comes after Norilsk Nickel made former head of the Kolskaya GMK Yevgenii Muravyev new leader of operations in the Taimyr Peninsula. Mr. Muravyev had been in his position since May 2009, a press release from the company informs.
Mr. Selyandin meanwhile comes from the post as deputy director of the company unit in Taimyr, the main operation ground for the company. He will now be transferred to Murmansk from where he will head company’s mining and metallurgy operations in the Kola Peninsula.
General Director of Norilsk Nickel Vladimir Strzhalkovsky in the press release underlines that the changes are made in order to heighten efficiency.
