Norilsk-Nickel sails directly to Europe
The vessels from the port of Dundinka drops transfer in Murmansk.
Norilsk-nickel launches direct shipping routes to the European ports of Rotterdam and Hamburg with nickel and copper from its huge smelters on the Taimyr Peninsula. From the harbour of Dudinka sails the newly delivered series of state-of-the-art ice-class cargo vessels directly to their destinations in Europe, according to Forbes.
By dropping Murmansk, where Norilsk-Nickel previously unloaded the metal for transfer to other vessels, the company save up to ten days on the deliveries.
So far, three direct deliveries from Dudinka to Europe were completed and one more is on its way.
