Norwegian industry regains strength

Industrial companies in Norway have regained half of the production loss they experienced in 2008 and 2009.

Norwegian industry peaked production in April 2008 and then experienced a dramatic 12 percent decline in output until June 2009. Now, however, the companies are on their way back to former levels. According to newspaper Aftenposten, the industrial production in June this year was six percent lower than in April 2008. Construction materials and aluminum were among the sectors doing especially well, the newspaper writes.
