Rapid emergence from crisis
Russia’s GDP increased by 4.2 percent in the first half of the year compared with the same period last year.
The rapid growth in Russia’s economy so far this year is a strong indicator that the economical crisis is left behind. In 2009 Russia experienced its first recession, since the last crisis in 1998.
The latest economical indicators for Russia were presented on Monday by Elvira Nabiullina, Russia’s Minister of Economic Development. –In principle, these are good dynamics for post-crises recovery, she said, according to Itar-Tass.
Especially June was a good period. For this month there was a growth of 9.7 percent in industrial production, and as high as 14.7 percent for the processing industry.
So far this year, disposable income increased 4.8 percent, while the unemployment rate was down to 6.8 percent in June from 9.2 percent in January.
