Reconstruction of ”Arktika” started
The owners of the hotel Arktika in downtown Murmansk have started the long-awaited reconstruction of the building.
City Mayor Sergey Subbotin in a press conference this week said that the reconstruction process comes after a deal was reached with the owners of the hotel, the company Azimut. Negotiations between the town administration and the Azimut were held all through 2009, Subbotin said. It is expected that the exterior part of the hotel will be reconstruction in the first phase, and that the interior will in handled in the second. The reconstruction is to be completed by the end of 2011, Murman.ru reports.
