Russian reserves down

Russian gold reserves the last week dropped another 1.1 billion USD. In the course of the first quarter of the year, the reserves have shrunk more then 34 billion USD, or 11 percent.

In the period 3-10 April, the Russian international reserves dropped 1.1 billion USD (0,3 percent). In the course of the first three months of the year, the reserves dropped 34.19 billion USD, or 11 percent, Rbc.ru reports.

As BarentsObserver reported, the Russian reserves had an all-time high on 15 August 2008 when they had a value of 598,1 USD.

According to Rbc.ru the drop in the reserves are expected to decrease over the second quarter of the year.
