Six percent industrial production growth
Russia in the first four months of the year had an industrial production growth of about six percent. That will be standard in all of 2010, Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Khristenko says.
Figures from the State Statistical Service show that Russian industrial output in the period January-April 2010 increased 6,9 percent year-on-year, RBC.ru reports. In April the results were even better with a 10,4 percent year-on-year growth. Minister Khristenko believes results for all of 2010 will be about six percent, the news site informs. The production figures are far higher than the estimates from the Ministry of Economical Development. Russia in 2009 experienced a strong downturn in its economy with a industrial production decline of 10,8 percent.
