Swedish exports down 21,4 percent
Both Swedish exports and imports dropped significantly over the first quarter of the year.
According to Statistics Sweden, exports dropped 21,4 percent while imports were down 18,2 percent in the first quarter of the year. The machinery and transport equipment sector, accounting for nearly half of Swedish exports, decreased in volume by 29 percent, a press release from the statistics service reads. The minerals sector decreased by a full 37 percent in volume.
