Gazprom’s 2009 production
The gas production of Gazprom might drop to as low as 450 billion cubic meters in 2009, company deputy Aleksandr Ananenkov said today.
The company representative in a press conference today said that 2009 production will be between 450-510 billion cubic meters, RIA Novosti reports. That is significantly down from the previous years. In 2006, Gazprom produced 556 billion cubic meters of gas, in 2007 – 548 billion cubic meters. Figures for 2008 were slightly up from 2007.
In that same press conference, Mr. Ananenkov said that his company in 2010 plans to produce 507 billion m3.
Meanwhile, long term production objectives remain ambitious. Gazprom is planning to increase its gas output to 550–560 billion cubic meters by 2010, to 580–590 billion by 2020 and to 610–630 billion m3 by 2030.
