Possible giant gas field in Norwegian Sea
The gas field Gro located in the Norwegian Sea could be gigantic, an analyst says.
Analyst Jarand Rystad from the Rystad Energy company says to Offshore.no that the Gro field could be gigantic. -If you look at data from this area, you see that the structure is big, and if it all is filled with gas it will be a giant field, the analyst says. The field located at deep waters in the Norwegian Sea belongs to Shell which currently plans drilling operations at the structure. Preliminary estimates indicate resources in the range of 10-100 billion cubic meters. Several more appraisal wells will have to be drilled in order to estimate the exact volumes of the promising field.
