Power production down in Murmansk
Power generation in Murmansk Oblast in the first six months of the year dropped 11 percent.
A representative of the Kolenergo power transmitting company confirmed to Murman.ru that power production in the region was reduced with 11 percent in the period January-June year-on-year. In the period, the Kolenergo company transmitted 5,3 bilion KWh. Murmansk Oblast is a net producer of power. The region has about half of its needed power from hydro power installations and the remaining half from the Kola NPP.
