Rosneft profit fall 53,2%

Net profit for the first three quarters of 2009 were €3,23 billion, down from €6,91 for the same period last year.

The figures were released by Rosneft on Wednesday. The state owned Rosneft is Russia’s largest oil company.

The sharp drop in profits this year is explained by the global economic crisis which has pushed down the oil prices from record heights in 2008.
