Shtokman partner strengthen ties with universities

StatoilHydro has signed a new agreement with the Murmansk and Arkhangelsk State Technical Universities.

The agreement between the energy company and the two universities also includes the University College of Bodø (Norway) and the Baltic State Technical University in St. Petersburg, Murman.ru reports. As part of the cooperation, several research grants within the field of logistics and transport will be made available

The agreement, which was signed in the recent St.Petersburg International Forum of the Energy Complex, strengthens relations between StatoilHydro and the teaching institutions. From before, the Norwegian company has a well developed cooperation with the institutions involved.

All the partners in the Shtokman project now step up cooperation with Northwest Russian universities. As reported by newspaper Vecherny Murmansk, a representative of French oil company Total is holding lectures in the Murmansk Pedagogical University. Also universities in Arkhangelsk regularly have visiting French lecturers.
