World’s biggest oil exporter
For the first time since the collapse of the Soviet Union Russia is surpassing Saudi Arabia in oil export.
Export of oil products from Russia rose to 7,4 million barrels per day in Q2 – 2009, according to data from the Russian Ministry of Energy, reports The Moscow Times. Export from Saudi Arabia fell to about 7 million barrels per day.
