230 billion RUB on Murmansk infrastructure
More than 230 billion RUB (6.25 billion EUR) will be spent on the development of the Murmansk Transport Hub over the next few years, the regional administration confirms.
The biggest of the infrastructure projects is the construction of a new 40 billion RUB oil terminal with a capacity of more than 35 million tons per year. Also roads, railways and the airport will be major investment objects, Regnum reports with reference to the regional administration. Four billion RUB will be invested in the upgrade of the airport, while the road network will need about 50 billion RUB. The port development in the region will increase the annual shipping turnover of Murmansk to about 100 million tons within 12 years.
