255 000 unemployed in Finland
In June this year, the total number of unemployed in Finland was 255,000. That is 9,1 percent of the work force.
According to the Labour Force Survey, there were 255 000 unemployed in June 2009, which was 61 000 more than in June of the year before. The number of unemployed men grew by 55 000 and that of unemployed women by 6 000 persons, Statistics Finland informs. That is 9,1 percent of the work force, which is 2,3 percentage points higher than in June 2008.
