Air Guitar World Championship
Probably the craziest festival in the Barents Region took place in Oulu this weekend.
The world final gathered an audience of 7000 people downtown Oulu in northern Finland on Saturday. Air guitar players from around the globe took part in the competition with their invisible instruments.
After qualifying rounds the 18 contestants showed their skills on the stage. Finnish guitar legend Juha Torvinen led the panel of judges. Finally, Aline “The Devil’s Niece” Westphal from Germany won the title “2011 Air Guitar World Champion.”
