Air space violation was technical error
Russian Minister of Defence, Anatolii Serdyukov, said to his Finnish counterpart Jyri Häkämies that a recent Russian violation of Finnish air space happened because of a technical error.
Mr. Häkämies is on a three-day visit to Moscow.
During his visit Minister Häkämies will also meet the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Mr. Yuri Baluyevsky, and the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Mr. Valentin Sobolev, the Finnish Defence Ministry reports.
The agenda of the visit includes bilateral relations regarding the two defence administrations, development concerning co-operation as well as current issues related to international security.
