airBaltic connects Tromsø and Oulo
Norway’s and Finland’s largest towns in the Barents region will be connected by at new direct flight route this summer.
The route will have flights between Tromsø and Oulo two times per week, and will make it easier for Finns to use the services offered by the Norwegian coastal line Hurtigruten, NRK writes.
airBaltic has developed Oulo to become the largest hub for air traffic in the Barents Region. The airport in Oulu is the second busiest in Finland and will be substantially expanded over the coming few years.
airBaltic operates six direct flights to Riga from other cities in the Barents Region; Umeå, Tromsø, Arkhangelsk, Rovaniemi, Kittilä and Kuusamo.
