Another contract signed in Shtokman project
The company Converteam has secured an order to supply power optimisation solutions for two offshore semisubmersible drilling rigs in the Shtokman project.
The rigs are under construction at the Vyborg Shipyard in Russia and Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea.
Converteam will also act as the complete electrical integrator for the rigs, which will be classified to Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, EnergyCurrent.com reports.
