Arkhangelsk again international airport
Air Baltic is opening its new route from Riga in Lativa to the Russian town of Arkhangelsk on July 3.
This is one of several new non-stop services linking the Baltics with the Barents Region being launched by the air company this summer. Air Baltic already operates two other flights to Barents destinations; Kuusamo and Oulu.
The route will be operated two times per week, with departures from Riga every Monday and Saturday and returns from Arkhangelsk every Tuesday and Sunday. The last flight from Arkhangelsk this season is scheduled for October 31.
Arkhangelsk, the biggest town in the Barents region, has not had any direct regular international flights since SAS operated the route Stockholm – Arkhangelsk from 1997 to 1999 with three weekly flights.
