Arkhangelsk on bottom of HIV-list
Arkhangelsk region takes the 81. place out of 86 Russian regions according to statistical data on the number of drug-addicted and HIV-infected.
In this situation it is really good to be among the last, but still it is important to stay alert. In course of the last year the number of drug-addicted people, who are registered in medical institutions in the Arkhangelsk region and Nenets Autonomous Area increased with 90 people and 75 new HIV infection cases were registered.
The Arkhangelsk regional project “Pomorje without drugs” connects Arkhangelsk regional specialists, dealing with addiction and HIV questions and all the people who are not indifferent and wish to get rid of these death-bringing problems in the region.
The project is supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers within the project “Social partnership against HIV spreading and drug-addiction in the North-Western part of Russia”, Dvina Inform writes.
