Arkhangelsk ready to train Shtokman specialists
The city of Arkhangelsk is likely to become the base for training of specialists for the Shtokman project, representatives of the regional administration said after a meeting with the Shtokman Development AG this week.
Commenting on the meeting, the region’s representatives in Moscow said that the parts have agreed to hold a conference on specialist training in Arkhangelsk in September this year.
The meeting took place in Moscow on Monday this week, Regnum reports.
It is now expected that an agreement on specialist training will be signed by the regional administration and the Shtokman Development AG as part of the conference, the news agency informs.
A delegation from the Shtokman Development AG will in April visit Arkhangelsk and meet with the local universities and teaching institutions and start preparations for a joint specialist training programme.
As BarentsObserver reported, Arkhangelsk is one of seven Russian cities which have been granted the right to host a federal university. The three local universities are currently in the process of merging.
