Consulate General changes requirement for private visa-invitations
The Norwegian Consulate General in Murmansk has updated their web-site BarentsObserver reported about the new extensive formula to be filled in when a Norwegian want to invite a Russian friend to Norway. The formula is now just “Alternative.”
The Consulate General in Murmansk updated their web-site the day after BarentsObserver reported about the new 41 question long list to be filled in. The questions were in-deep personal and were considered improper by Norwegians wanting to invite Russian friends.
Interviewed by the Norwegian newspaper Finnmarken, the head of the visa-section at the Consulate General in Murmansk Lars Fordal says the meaning of the formula was not to be obligatory, but as a optional possibility for those wanting to issue a private invitation.
However; the visa-section at the Norwegian Consulate General in Murmansk do indeed still want those issuing private invitations to use the new formula.
- This is a request, not at requirement, says Lars Fordal.
