Drilling has started near Lovozero
Centrasia Mining Corp. announces that drilling has started at its enormous Tsaga Platinum Group Metals prospect on the Kola Peninsula. The Tsaga property covers two percent of the entire peninsula and the mining company has identified a potential zone of sulfide mineralization.
- Concurrent with our ongoing drill program and resource estimate at our Souker Nickel project, we are eager to advance the Tsaga prospect in this world-class platinum metal province, Chairman Cary Pinkowski states in a press-release from the company this week.
- With property of 1,970 square kilometres and Barrick’s Federova Tundra testing zones in close proximity to our property boundary, we are excited to move forward, Pinkowski says.
The Lovozero and Revda area is an old mining area, but after the collapse of the Soviet Union the mining company in Revda was partly closed down, and the unemployment rate in the town is very high. Therefore the new drilling and prospects of huge investments into mining in the area is welcomed by the locals.
