Eighty percent of Norwegians positive to Arctic oil
Eight of ten respondents in a new poll say that oil and gas activities in the Norwegian North will have major impact on the development of society and business in the region.
The same number of people say that regional perspectives for the oil industry are good, Offshore.no reports. The poll, conducted by the Synovat company, is good food for the Norwegian oil industry which is eager to start exploration in the promising Lofoten waters off the northern Norwegian coast. -The answers show that most people have confidence in the industry and that the industry can be vitamin injection for northern Norway, the same way as it has been in the southern part of the country, Per Terje Vold from the Norwegian Oil Industry Association says to Offshore.no
