Faroe trawler still in arrest
The trawler Skaloberg that was arrest two weeks ago by the Russian coast guard on suspicion of illegal fishing is still in arrest in Murmansk.
It is unclear why the vessel is still in arrest after inspectors from the coast guard vessel Ural made an inspection onboard Skaloberg while the trawler was fishing in Russian economical zone in the Barents Sea. It is the newspaper Altaposten that report the vessel is still in Murmansk.
BarentsObserver wrote about the arrest of the trawler and that the Russian coast guard inspectors revealed that Skaloberg had caught 618 tons more than the official catch permission.
Other violations were also said to be revealed.
