Finnish foreign trade drops 30 percent

The value of Finland’s foreign trade in January dropped with more than 30 percent compared with January 2008.

Exports were down in all major product categories, Yle News reports. Finland’s trade balance was about 40 million EUR in deficit in January compared with a 95 million EUR surplus in January last year, the National Board of Customs said in its preliminary trade data on Thursday.
