Finnish industrial production plummets
Figures from Statistics Finland show that industrial production in January dropped 19,5 percent year-on-year from 2008.
Also in December 2008, industial production fell dramatically. Then, output decreased 16 percent from the year before, Yle News reports. In all of 2008, industrial output decreased with almost one percent, which was the largest drop since the recession of 1991 when production fell by as much as 8,7 percent, the Finnish broadcaster reports.
