Finnish power export to Russia
The Finnish power grid operator Fingrid is ready to export 350 MW to Russia from 2010, but first new rules regulating the trade between Finland and Russia have to be made.
For the time being, it is only possible to import power from Russia to the Nordic countries, but this can be changed already next year.
According to Fingrid, Russia is now conducting technical tests, and the results will show what the next step in the development of a two-way connection between Russia and Finland should be, Teknisk Ukeblad writes.
All power export from Russia is controlled by the monopolist RAO, who has a 18.000 MW production capacity in Russia and abroad.
