Fire in home for elderly killed 25
At least 25 people lost their lives when a fire put a home for elderly ablaze in the village of Kortkeros, the Komi Republic, on Saturday.
Rescue authorities do not exclude that the number of dead might increase, Newsru.com reports. -We still do not have the exact number of people rescued and dead, a representative of regional authorities told Interfax. So far, only three people are confirmed rescued in the tragic fire. Regional Governor Vladimir Torlopov has initiated the establishment of a special commission which is to head the investigation of the incident. It remains not clear what triggered the fire.
