First Russian school closed because of swine flue

A school in Murmashi outside Murmansk became the first in Russia to be closed because of confirmed or probable cases of swine flu.

Seven children have been hospitalized while another 12 are under suspicion of being infected by the virus, RIA Novosti reports.

The school has 500 pupils and will be closed for quarantine until September 29.

381 cases of swine flu have so far been documented in Russia, none of them lethal, Argumenty i Fakty reports.
