Foreign partner for Prirazlomnoe project

Gazprom Neft considers to include a foreign partner in the Prirazlomnoe oil field project in the eastern Barents Sea, a high-ranking company representative confirmed in a conference this week.

Deputy General Director Boris Zilbermints said that his company is considering to include a foreign partner in the project, Russia’s first offshore oil field in the Arctic. Gazprom subsidiary Gazprom Neft holds the license to the field located in the Pechora Sea, north of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The field contains about 75 million tons of extractable reserves. It is located on about 20 meter depths about 60 km north of the port of Varandey.
