Gazprom considers new shelf company
Russian energy giant Gazprom is considering the establishment of a new subsidiary on shelf development, company representative Yuri Komarov says
The new company, a 100 percent-owned Gazprom enterprise, will be responsible for all the gas major’s projects on the shelf, B-port.com reports. The new company might eventually also take over the Shtokman license, currently controlled by Gazprom subsidiary Sevmorneftegaz. Mr. Komarov says that the establishment of the new company will take place “quite soon”. Responsible for the new company initiative will be head of Sevmorneftegaz, Mr. Aleksandr Mandel.
