Gazprom looking for housing for Shtokman workers
Russian gas major Gazprom is looking for housings for Shtokman workers outside Severomorsk.
Representatives from Gazprom are in negotiations with the administration in Severomorsk on purchase of empty apartment buildings in Maloye Safonovo, approximately halfway between Murmansk and Severomorsk, GTRK Murman reports.
Gazprom plans to use the buildings for workers that will be involved in building of a platform for the Shtokman field in the Barents Sea. The platform will probably be built at Shipyard number 35 in Rosta outside Murmansk.
The apartment blocks in Maloye Safonovo used to house air force personnel but have been empty since the local unit was relocated.
