Gazprom might process Yamal condensate in Komi

Gas giant Gazprom considers to ship gas condensate from the Bovanenkovo field in the Yamal Peninsula to processing facilities in the Komi Republic.

Following lower production volumes in the Komi Republic and the consequently available processing capacities, Gazprom might decide to send condensate extracted in the Yamal Pensinsula to facilities in the Komi Republic. It is the Sosnogorsk gas processing plant which might eventually get the Yamal condensate, Oilru.com reports with reference to newspaper Gudok.

The Sosnogorsk plant has an annual capacity of 1,25 million tons of condensate. However, now the plant only handles 240 thousand tons. The Yamal condensate is likely to be shipped to the Komi Republic by railway.

Gazprom is currently developing the Bovanenkovo field in Yamal, which have estimated gas reserves of 4,9 trillion cubic meters. Also the nearby Kharasavey field is planned developed in the near future. Gazprom intends to produce and annual of respectively 2,3 and 1,3 million tons of gas condensate from the fields.
