Green light for more drilling

Norway’s StatoilHydro has got blessing from the Petroleum Safety Authority for the drilling of two wells in the Barents Sea.

The wells No 7223/5-1 S og 7223/5-1 A are located on 340 meter depths, the Petroleum Safety Authority informs.

The operation will be made with the Polar Pioneer rig, the semisubmersible installation which has previously operated on the “Snohvit” field, as well as conducted several other operations for ENI, Statoil and Hydro, Offshore.no reports.
