Head of Karelia met Finnish President
Sergey Katanandov and Tarja Halonen discussed cross-border cooperation between Karelia and Finland when they met in Helsinki on Tuesday.
The Governor of Oulu, Eina Siuruainen, participated at the meeting, where Karelia and Finland summarized the cooperation between Russia’s southernmost member region in the Barents Cooperation.
Siruainen, Halonen and Katanandov agreed on the plans for continuous project cooperation between Karelia and Finland for 2010, reports Karelia’s official website.
