Huge metal ore discovered south of Murmansk
The Irish-owned company Oyosa Gold Plc has made a major finding of molybdenum at a site 160 km south of the Murmansk city. The field could be among the biggest ten in the world.
According to the company the finding was made in the Pelapak area south of Murmansk. A total of 23 drilling holes have been made on the site and the finding indicate 79,200 tons of the metal. Company director Leonid Skoptsov confirms that a huge finding has been made. It is located 50 km from the Serebryanskaya hydro power station and 160 km from the port of Murmansk, he says.
