Kalistratov from Sevmash to Zvezdochka?
Nikolay Kalistratov, the powerful ex-Director of the Sevmash shipyard, might become Chairman of the board of directors at Zvezdochka, the other giant naval shipyard in Severodvinsk.
The Board of Directors at Sevmash has decided to suspend the CEO of Sevmash Nikolay Kalistratov at his own request, the company’s web site reads. An interim appointment will be held by Andrey Dyachkov, Director General of design bureau Rubin.
The final dismissal of Nikolay Kalistratov from the position of CEO of Sevmash and election of a new CEO will be discussed at the General Assembly of shareholders in late June this year.
Kalistratov is said to have resigned on his own free will, presumably because of the shipyard’s failure to deliver State military orders according to schedule, in particular the schedules for construction of nuclear submarines of the fourth generation, Central Navy Portal reported, citing a source close to the shipyard’s leadership.
The Arkhangelsk-based information agency TV29 reports that Nikolay Kalistratov most probably will become Chairman of the board of directors at Zvezdochka. He could take a seat after Leonid Strugov, who represents the Ministry of Industry and Trade and therefore has to leave the board.
In April President Dmitry Medvedev ordered that all deputy prime ministers of the Russian Federation and federal ministers responsible for state regulation in their respective sectors must leave their seats in boards of state companies which operate on competitive markets by July 1.
