Lavrov pushes EU on visa-freedom
-We would like to agree about some date for the introduction of visa freedom between Russia and the EU, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says.
-We understand that a number of questions need to be solved before visas can be abolished, Lavrov said after a meeting in the permanent EU-Russia partnership and cooperation council on Tuesday, RIA Novosti reports. –However, we are convinced that these are all technical and law issues which can be subjected to professional studies and coordination, he added. -Today, we would like to agree about some date for the introduction of visa freedom, Lavrov said. He confirmed that a meeting on visa freedom between the parts is due late October.
