Medvedev visited Syktyvkar
Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev yesterday led a meeting in the State Council Presidium in Syktyvkar, the capital in the Republic of Komi.
The main theme for the meeting was housing and communal services, ITAR-TASS reports. According to the news agency, Medvedev constantly pays much attention to the development of housing and communal services.
The president noted that the housing and public utilities issues are within the competence of regional and municipal authorities that have to deal with them on a permanent basis. - But I specially draw attention to it today so that all colleagues who are engaged in this sphere in regional governmental bodies and local self-government bodies gave this work a priority. If I spend my time on it, then you should even more do it, the head of state stressed.
