Melkøya shutdown once again
StatoilHydro must shout down the LNG-plant at Melkøya in northern Norway for another 30 days this autumn.
StatoilHydros head of information, Sverre Kojedal says to NRK that they have to shut down the plant to install new parts which has caused problems in production. The part which has been used so far has proven not to be robust enough and have caused leakage. Kojedal says that with the new parts in place the plant will stand a higher production in the future. Last week BarentsObserver reported that the LNG-plant probably will not be able to reach full production before next summer, when the rebuilding of the plant is finished.
