Minster wants crisis management cooperation with Russia
Finnish Minister of Defence Yyri Häkämies confirms that he will propose to his Russian counterpart to initiate a stronger Finnish-Russian cooperation on crisis management.
In an interview with the newspaper Turun Sanomat on Wednesday Häkämies said that he will take up the issue when he travels to Moscow in April. Häkämies feels that Finnish-Russian co-operation in crisis management could focus on maritime safety and on fighting oil disasters in the Baltic Sea, YLE News reports.
