More electricity produced in NW Russia
The main electricity producer in Northwest Russia, the Territorial Generating Company Nr 1 (TGK-1), in 2007 increased production with 12 percent.
According to TGK-1, the power production of the company in 2007 totalled 26,63 million kWh. TGK-1 includes generation units in Murmansk Oblast, the Republic of Karelia, Sankt Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast. The TGK-1 is the third biggest territorial generating company in Russia, Interfax reports.
